Russian Transport Ministry Announces Ticket Sales For Suburban Trains Between Smolensk, Orsha And Vitsyebsk

Russia’s Transport Ministry has announced the start of ticket sales for suburban trains running between Smolensk, Vitsyebsk, and Orsha. The trains are set to begin operating in April.

The total travel time between Smolensk and Vitsyebsk will be two hours, while the journey from Smolensk to Orsha will take one hour and 40 minutes. According to the Russian ministry, a one-way ticket from Smolensk to Orsha costs 500 Russian rubles, while a ticket to Vitsyebsk costs 435 Russian rubles.

The operator will be the Central Suburban Passenger Company. Two-car RA-3 diesel trains will run between Smolensk and Vitsyebsk, while four-car EP3D electric trains will operate to Orsha.
