Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet and Head of the National Anti-Crisis Management Pavel Latushka met with Yaroslav Chornohor, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry responsible for engagement with Belarusian democratic forces. The meeting was also attended by Coordination Council Speaker Artsiom Brukhan, the United Transitional Cabinet reports.
The parties discussed cooperation on holding Aliaksandr Lukashenka accountable for the crime of aggression, the illegal transfer of Ukrainian children who are orphans to Belarus, and crimes against humanity committed against the Belarusian people.
They also discussed further steps to strengthen cooperation on increasing sanctions pressure on the Lukashenka regime.
The interlocutors paid particular attention to the involvement of Belarusian democratic forces in the Lublin format for closer political cooperation with Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine.
Latushka and Brukhan handed the ambassador the resolution “On the Priorities of Belarusian-Ukrainian Cooperation,” adopted at the New Belarus conference, as well as the Coordination Council resolution “On a Round Table on Overcoming the Political Crisis and Strengthening the Independence of the Republic of Belarus.”
