Kazakhstan offered a venue for negotiations on Ukraine. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said this in an interview with TASS.
“Kazakhstan is our closest partner and ally, with whom we maintain a trusting dialogue on many strategic issues. We are grateful for the republic’s leadership’s attention to the situation around Ukraine and value its efforts to find ways to achieve the earliest possible peaceful settlement of the conflict. In addition, Astana has repeatedly offered its venue for negotiations,” he said.
Galuzin also stressed that Russia remains committed to the agreements reached in Anchorage. At present, Moscow is not considering the possibility of a freeze along the front line.
“As Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said, without addressing the root causes of this crisis, no ‘freeze’ is possible,” he said.
