On December 24, Prime Minister Alyaksandr Turchyn held an inaugural meeting of the Council for Entrepreneurship Development, the government press service reported.
Turchyn proposed that participants intensify the work of entrepreneurship development councils in regions and districts. He also said that the Council should focus on systemic economic issues rather than addressing the problems of individual enterprises.
“I would like you to speak about increasing the effectiveness of the Council’s work: not to solve narrow tasks of a specific enterprise, but rather to look more at the systemic and global problems that exist in the economy,” Turchyn said.
Meetings of the Council are planned to be held at least once a quarter.
The composition of the Council was updated on December 10. It includes 27 members, including Chairman Turchyn.
