Ina Kuley has spoken about the condition of her husband, politician Alyaksandr Milinkevich, who was admitted to intensive care in November following surgery. According to her, the critical stage has passed, but a long road to full recovery lies ahead.
“Today marks exactly one month since the terrible, unexpected consequences of a planned operation. This entire month we have lived on an emotional roller coaster: one step forward, one step back. From ‘prepare for the worst’ to ‘preparing for rehabilitation’. With God’s help, Alyaksandr overcame death and pneumonia, which is a common companion of such patients, and is now truly on a good path. The road to full recovery is not short, but I believe. I believe unconditionally and endlessly. And I know that the celebration is still ahead. Dear everyone who is waiting and believing — the celebration is still ahead. Alyaksandr Milinkevich was the united opposition candidate in the 2006 presidential election. In 2023, he became a non-staff adviser to Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
