In 2025, 21,900 families in Belarus who were registered as needing improved housing conditions received new housing, according to Belstat. Among them were 5,700 young families, 7,500 large families, and 1,800 families eligible for social housing.
Over the year, the waiting list for improved housing conditions decreased by 16,800 families. By the end of 2025, 541,700 households remained on the list.
In cities and urban-type settlements, the number of families registered as needing improved housing fell by 14,700, while in rural areas it decreased by 2,100 families.
