On May 11, Belarusian Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn held a meeting on the creation of an agricultural machinery holding based on the sector’s leading enterprises.
The holding is expected to include the leading agricultural machinery enterprises: OJSC “Management Company of the Lidselmash Holding,” “Management Company of the Babruyskagramash Holding,” and “Management Company of the Minsk Motor Plant Holding” (which include 22 organisations and one branch).
“The creation of the holding will make it possible to unite all manufacturers under one brand, increase the recognition of the machinery on export markets in the future and, taking into account the capabilities of the enterprises’ design divisions, produce certain types of complex high-performance machinery,” the government press service states.
The short-term objectives of the planned holding are named as:
- promptness and flexibility in the coordinated response of enterprises to current and medium-term market challenges,
- development of its own unified sales network and product accessibility for consumers,
- preservation and development of a unified production programme,
- formation of a unified balance sheet.
The government expects that the creation of the holding will ensure profit growth.
