Forecasters have updated their weather hazard warning. The orange alert level for the weekend remains in effect. The expected maximum temperatures have been revised.
“During the day on June 26 (Friday), maximum air temperatures in the western parts of the country will reach +30°C to +32°C.
During the day on June 27 (Saturday), temperatures in the west of the country will range from +30°C to +34°C, while in some parts of Brest region they will reach +35°C,” the warning said.
According to the three-day forecast issued by Belhydromet, the heatwave will persist in Belarus on Sunday. Overnight temperatures are expected to range from +13°C to +20°C, while daytime highs will range from +29°C in the northeast to +37°C in the west.
