The farewell ceremony for journalist Mikita Melkaziorau will take place in Warsaw on December 30. It will be held from 12:00 to 15:00, his relatives said. The location of the ceremony has not yet been disclosed for security reasons and will be announced later.
As previously reported, journalist Mikita Melkaziorau died in Poland on the night of December 20 to 21. He was 37. The Polish prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into his death under an article on involuntary manslaughter. This is a standard legal formulation used when the cause of death is unknown. On Monday it became known that an autopsy had been carried out. The results of the examination are expected to be available in several months.
