Council of the Republic Approves Ratification of Visa-Free Regime With Myanmar and Memorandum on Employment of Pakistanis

The Council of the Republic today approved the ratification of a number of interstate agreements, including a visa-free regime with Myanmar and an agreement on the employment of Pakistani citizens.

The agreement on visa-free travel with Myanmar was signed in November last year. It provides that citizens of the two countries may stay without a visa in the territory of the other country for no more than 30 days from the date of entry. The total duration of visa-free stay must not exceed 90 days in a calendar year.

The Council of the Republic approved the following draft laws:

• “On Ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the Elimination of Double Taxation With Respect to Taxes on Income and the Prevention of Tax Evasion and Minimization of Tax Liabilities”.
• “On Ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Sultanate of Oman on International Road Freight Transportation”.
• “On Ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on the Procedure for the Stay of Citizens of the Republic of Belarus in the Territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Territory of the Republic of Belarus”.
• “On Ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on Readmission”.
• “On Ratification of the Treaty on the Procedure for Organizing and Conducting International Controlled Deliveries by the Competent Authorities of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States”.
• “On Ratification of the Memorandum of Understanding Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Cooperation in the Field of Labour and Employment”.
• “On Ratification of the Protocol on the Termination of the Agreement on Assistance to Refugees and Forced Migrants of September 24, 1993”.
• “On Ratification of the Free Trade Agreement Between the Eurasian Economic Union and Its Member States, of the One Part, and the Republic of Indonesia, of the Other Part”.
• “On Ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on Mutual Visa Exemption”.
• “On Ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on Cooperation in Activities Involving Precious Metals, Precious Stones and Products Made From Them”.
