Belarusian And Bulgarian Citizens Detained In Poland For Organizing Illegal Border Crossing

Border guards from the Podlasie Unit of Poland’s Border Guard have detained a 55-year-old Bulgarian citizen and a 29-year-old Belarusian citizen. They are suspected of organizing illegal crossings of the Polish-Lithuanian border.

Both suspects have been placed in custody for three months by court decision. The Border Guard has also initiated administrative proceedings, resulting in deportation orders with a 10-year ban on entry into the Schengen area.

The circumstances of the detention and the investigation have not been disclosed.
