The man whose alleged killing was announced by Alyaksandr Lukashenka at the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly is alive and has been detained. This was stated by Volha Zazulinskaya, Representative for Social Policy of the United Transitional Cabinet, citing reliable sources.
“Reliable sources have informed us that the incident took place in Zhodzina, and most importantly, the person is alive. He is being held by the regime’s security forces, the detention was violent. And he is definitely alive,” she said.
On 18 December, Alyaksandr Lukashenka claimed that a “white-red-white supporter” had been killed during a detention.
“We did not make public the detention of a scoundrel three days ago. Well, what we call a white-red-white supporter. Eliminated. But he wounded three of our guys. Are all alive? Ivan?” Lukashenka said, addressing Interior Minister Ivan Kubrakou.
“All are alive. One is seriously wounded, two more lightly. But they were defending us. That is our youth. So understand that if something somewhere goes wrong — it is us with you,” he added.
