Aliaksandr Lukashenka congratulated András Baka on his election as president of Hungary, expressing hope for continued dialogue with Minsk.
“I am confident that the great historical experience and wisdom of the Hungarian people will continue to guide your country toward open and balanced engagement on the world stage, including with Belarus, which, like Hungary, occupies a special place in the heart of Europe — at the crossroads of cultures and civilizations. Minsk has consistently maintained that equal dialogue, taking into account the national interests of both states, is a solid foundation for truly fruitful cooperation,” his words were quoted by his press service.
He wished the recipient success in his new post and the Hungarian people happiness and prosperity.
In addition, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself personally, Lukashenka congratulated the people of Hungary and the country’s leadership on the upcoming St. Stephen’s Day.
