College Graduate To Stand Trial Over Fake Employment To Avoid Compulsory Placement

A college graduate falsely obtained employment to avoid fulfilling his compulsory work placement. Marijuana was also found in his possession. As a result, the young man will stand trial on two charges: causing significant property damage (Article 216 of the Criminal Code) and possession of narcotic drugs (Article 328 of the Criminal Code).

According to the case materials, the Gomel Region native falsely obtained employment and submitted a certificate to his college, on the basis of which he was assigned to the company in question. In fact, the graduate did not work anywhere from 2022 to 2023.

Investigators determined that he failed to fulfill his compulsory placement, causing property damage of more than 11,000 rubles.

In February 2026, the defendant also purchased 0.39 grams of marijuana. He consumed some of it and kept the rest at home.

During the investigation, the 23-year-old man fully admitted his guilt and partially compensated the damage. The case has been sent to court, the Minsk Prosecutor’s Office reported.
