Latvia Begins Publishing List Of Companies Trading With Belarus And Russia

Latvia’s Central Statistical Bureau has begun publishing a list of Latvian companies that trade with Belarus and Russia.

Until now, this information was not publicly available because confidentiality restrictions applied to data held by the State Revenue Service. However, on June 18 this year, the Saeima adopted amendments to the law on support for the civilian population of Ukraine. As a result, tax authorities were required to provide information on companies.

The list, containing data for July this year, includes around 170 companies, including Grindeks, Lauma Fabrics, Olaine Chemical Plant Biolars, Olpha and others, LSM reports.
