Aliaksandr Lukashenka arrived today at a training exercise involving military units responsible for the combat use of nuclear weapons and nuclear support. This was reported by his press service.
Lukashenka is visiting a missile brigade in the Asipovichy District. Chief of the General Staff Pavel Muraveika briefed him on the concept of the exercise. Lukashenka inspected the missile brigade’s vehicle fleet and visited the commander’s command post.
The exercise has been taking place in Belarus since May 19. Russia is conducting nuclear manoeuvres simultaneously. As reported by the Russian Defence Ministry this morning, nuclear munitions were delivered to field storage sites as part of the exercise.
