Belarusian Emergency Situations Minister Vadzim Siniausky met with Iran’s ambassador to Belarus to discuss humanitarian assistance for Iran.
The parties agreed on the composition of the cargo and the timeline for its delivery. Belarus will send frame tents, beds, blankets, as well as 32 types of medical supplies with a total weight of 6 tonnes to Iran, the Emergency Situations Ministry press service reported.
The head of the ministry and the ambassador also discussed expanding cooperation between the countries in the field of protecting people and territories from natural and man-made emergencies, including the training of qualified specialists in this area.
It should be recalled that on May 11, Aliaksandr Lukashenka signed a decree on sending humanitarian aid to Iran, Mozambique and Cuba. The total value of the assistance is estimated at more than 2.2 million Belarusian roubles.
