The average nominal accrued salary of public sector employees in Belarus amounted to 2,246.8 rubles before taxes in February. It increased by 3.4%, or 74.2 rubles, compared to January. As of January 1, the base rate to which public sector wages are tied was raised.
The real average salary in the public sector grew by 10% in January–February. These figures were published by Belstat.
In February, the ratio of salaries in public sector organizations to the national average stood at 81.7%.
The average February salaries in the public sector were as follows:
- in public administration — 3,744.2 rubles (+635.1 rubles compared to the previous month),
- for school teachers — 2,762.4 rubles (+67 rubles),
- for preschool educators — 1,871.4 rubles (+25.1 rubles),
- for university faculty — 3,232.5 rubles (-0.3 rubles),
- for doctors — 4,190.9 rubles (-19.4 rubles),
- for mid-level medical staff — 2,246.7 rubles (-51.3 rubles).
