Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya has condemned Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities.
“Targeting civilian homes and energy infrastructure in deadly cold is a war crime. Dictators only understand the language of strength. The world must stand firm to protect Ukraine and deprive the Russian war machine of the means to continue this aggression,” she wrote on X, commenting on a post by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
In his post, Sybiha stressed that neither diplomatic efforts in the United Arab Emirates nor promises made to the United States restrained Vladimir Putin.
“Primary targets: energy and residential houses in Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, Odesa, and other regions. Putin waited for the temperatures to drop and stockpiled drones and missiles to continue his genocidal attacks against the Ukrainian people. Neither anticipated diplomatic efforts in Abu Dhabi this week nor his promises to the United States kept him from continuing terror against ordinary people in the harshest winter,” he said.
Today, the Russian Federation used 521 means of attack against Ukrainian territory, including drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. Hits by 27 missiles and 31 drones were recorded at 27 locations. Drone debris fell at 17 locations. Thousands of homes in Kharkiv and Kyiv were left without heating. Tens of thousands of consumers in Odesa Region were cut off from electricity.
