Russia carried out a massive strike on Ukrainian cities overnight. Drones as well as ballistic and cruise missiles were used. Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro were hit.
In Kyiv, a five-story residential building was destroyed, and a fire broke out on the premises of a preschool institution. In another location, a fire occurred and destruction was recorded on the 26th floor of a high-rise building. Hits were also recorded on the territory of a gas station and an administrative building, and damage was reported in apartment blocks. According to the State Emergency Service, three people were injured.
In Kharkiv, strikes targeted energy infrastructure. City authorities were forced to drain the heat carrier from the main pipeline. As a result, 820 buildings were left without heating. There are disruptions in the operation of the city’s electric public transport. Two people were injured in the city. In the region, two settlements were left without electricity.
Explosions were also reported in Sumy, Dnipro, and Vinnytsia.
Against the backdrop of the Russian attack, Polish forces increased air defense readiness and scrambled fighter jets.

In Kyiv, 1,170 buildings in the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts were left without heating. In Odesa Region, more than 50,000 consumers remain without electricity.
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia used 521 means of attack today, including 450 drones, four Tsirkon/Oniks missiles, 32 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles, seven Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles, and 28 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles.
Ukraine’s air defense managed to shoot down or suppress 412 drones and 38 missiles, including four Tsirkon/Oniks missiles, 11 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles, three Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles, and two Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles.
Hits by 27 missiles and 31 drones were recorded at 27 locations. Drone debris fell at 17 locations.
