A tree fell on a 22-year-old woman in Minsk. The Investigative Committee has launched an inquiry into the incident.
According to the Investigative Committee, the woman was sitting on a bench in Simón Bolívar Square when a nearby tree cracked and its branches fell on her.
A passerby called an ambulance. Police officers who were nearby also came to her aid, freeing the injured woman and handing her over to medical personnel.
The woman is in hospital in stable condition, and her life is not in danger.
As part of the inquiry, the Investigative Committee will pay particular attention to the causes and circumstances that contributed to the woman’s injuries.
