Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf arrived in Minsk this evening. He is scheduled to meet Aliaksandr Lukashenka tomorrow, according to Algeria’s Foreign Ministry.
“On the instructions of the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs Ahmed Attaf arrived this evening on an official visit to Minsk, the capital of the friendly Republic of Belarus,” the ministry said.
In addition to his meeting with Lukashenka, Attaf is scheduled to hold talks with Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou and the “Chairman of the National Assembly of Belarus.”
The two foreign ministers will “assess the current state of bilateral relations and examine prospects for their further strengthening.” They are also expected to exchange views on international and regional issues of mutual interest to both countries.
“This visit takes place within the framework of supporting the positive momentum that characterises relations between Algeria and Belarus,” Algeria’s Foreign Ministry said.
