Belarus’ Council of Ministers has approved a pilot project on the procurement of crop protection products with plant growth-regulating properties for use on winter rapeseed crops. The project will run until Oct. 31, 2026.
Under Council of Ministers Resolution No. 396 of Aug. 4, published today on the National Legal Internet Portal, the pilot project will apply to entities engaged in agricultural production, as well as legal entities designated by regional executive committees to procure crop protection products (operators).
These organisations will purchase crop protection products for rapeseed using their own funds through trading on the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) or through single-source procurement from Belarusian manufacturers or legal entities established by them to market their products. BUCE will also be able to centralise procurement requests submitted by participants.
The profitability margin for services provided by the designated operators in connection with the sale of these products is capped at 5%.
