The State Military Industry Committee may present an anti-aircraft missile and gun system to counter unmanned aerial vehicles in the near future. This was stated on Tuesday by committee chairman Dzmitry Pantus.
“In the very near future, another program for the development of missile production in our country will be adopted; it should be approved literally in the first quarter. It envisages a large number of new products. Of course, I cannot talk about all of them. I will note that we are actively working on the creation of a short-range anti-aircraft missile system. We are working on ammunition for various types of grenade launchers. It cannot be ruled out that in the very near future a domestic anti-aircraft missile and gun system for combating unmanned aerial vehicles will also appear,” BelTA quoted him as saying.
Pantus also told the board of the State Military Industry Committee on Tuesday about plans to modernize the Polonez-M multiple-launch rocket system and about military export indicators.
