A group of mountaineers, including two Belarusians, has been out of contact since Aug. 4 in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, ONT reports.
The group climbed Kurumdy Peak in the Trans-Alay Range via the North Ridge. On Aug. 4, the mountaineers told the operator that they were ready to descend to the base camp, but they did not arrive at the designated location.
The route had been approved and registered.
The Belarusian Mountaineering and Climbing Federation has appealed to its Kyrgyz counterparts for assistance in searching for the group.
