Russia launched 111 aerial weapons against Ukraine starting from 6 p.m. on Tuesday. A total of 108 drones of various types, two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and one Kh-31 guided air-launched missile were used, the Ukrainian Air Force said.
Air defence systems neutralised 89 drones, while impacts of two ballistic missiles, one air-launched missile and nine drones were recorded at eight locations.
It should be recalled that Russia unilaterally announced a ceasefire for May 8–9, warning of a strike on central Kyiv if Victory Day celebrations on May 9 were disrupted. In turn, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a silence regime starting from midnight on May 6.
After midnight today, explosions were reported in Dnipro. Drones launched on May 5 were heading towards the city. Explosions were also heard in the Kharkiv region after midnight.
At around 4 a.m., the Ukrainian side recorded launches of guided aerial bombs targeting the Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, while bombardment of the Zaporizhzhia region began from 5 a.m.
Later, drones attacked Kharkiv. Impacts were recorded in two districts of the city, with seven private houses damaged. Two people were reported injured.
In Zaporizhzhia, industrial infrastructure was damaged. Infrastructure was also damaged in Kryvyi Rih.
