The process of increasing public transport fares in Belarus has been completed. Earlier, decisions to raise tariffs were adopted in Minsk and the Minsk, Brest, Homiel and Viciebsk regions. Today, decisions by the Hrodna and Mahilyow regional executive committees were published on the National Legal Internet Portal.

The fare for a single trip on regular and high-speed urban routes is set at 1.05 rubles, and 1.15 rubles on express routes. The increase amounts to 15 kopecks.

Uniform tariffs for suburban transport have also been set in both regions:

  • 14 kopecks per kilometer on regular routes,
  • 16 kopecks on high-speed and additional routes,
  • 17 kopecks on express routes.

Passengers will have to pay an additional 2, 3, or 6 kopecks per kilometer for luggage, depending on its size.

The cost of travel passes in the Hrodna region ranges from 2.83 rubles for a one-day pass for one type of transport in cities with a population of under 50,000 to 63.06 rubles for a monthly pass for two types of transport in cities with a population of over 250,000.

In the Mahilyow region, travel pass prices range from 11.24 rubles for a 10-day “working days” pass for one type of transport in district centers to 63.06 rubles for a monthly pass for two types of transport in cities with a population of over 250,000.

Both regions, like others, have also capped the profitability rate when setting fares for маршрутки. It must not exceed 15%.
