Lublin police have published a photograph of the arrest of a suspect in the murder case of artist Semyon Skrepetsky in Biała Podlaska.

“This morning, near Warsaw, officers from the special investigative team of the Lublin Provincial Police Headquarters detained a man suspected of murdering a 44-year-old Russian citizen in Biała Podlaska.

The detained individual is using a passport issued to a 36-year-old Georgian citizen,” the statement said.

Officers from special police units took part in the arrest.

It should be noted that the police statement describes the man as a murder suspect. Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who was the first to report the arrest on X, used the phrase “suspect in involvement in the murder”.

As previously reported, the Russian artist, known for his caricatures of Putin, Lukashenka and Kadyrov, was killed on Monday morning. As part of the investigation, two Belarusian citizens aged 33 and 37 were detained. However, investigators determined that they were not involved in the crime. It became known yesterday that they had been released after being questioned as witnesses.
