Belarusian security services are attempting to gather information about the New Belarus conference, which will take place in Warsaw on Aug. 7-9, the human rights center Viasna reported.
Belarusians have been contacted by unknown accounts in messaging apps asking whether they plan to attend the conference and how they are preparing for it. One of the people who made contact identified himself as “Siarhei from Minsk.”
The human rights group published the IDs of the accounts involved: 7215425509, 5239146665, 7704668859, 7106779624.
Earlier, Belarusian security services attempted to recruit members of the Coordination Council.
