Minimum prices for alcoholic beverages are being increased in Belarus. This is stipulated by resolutions No. 6 dated Feb. 2 issued by the Ministry for Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade. The document was published on the National Legal Internet Portal on Wednesday and enters into force upon publication.
Minimum prices for alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content above 28%, produced and/or sold in Belarus, are set per 0.5 litre of a beverage with an alcohol content of 40%. They will be as follows:
- the ex-works wholesale price (excluding VAT) — 8.1 Belarusian roubles, up 0.53 roubles from the current level;
- the retail price (including VAT) — 10.72 Belarusian roubles, up 0.7 roubles.
The maximum minimum ex-works price for raw materials is set as follows:
- for rectified ethyl alcohol from food raw materials supplied to organisations of the Republic of Belarus for the production of alcoholic products, vinegar and low-alcohol beverages (with a zero excise rate), and for the production of medicines (excluding excise duty), on an ex-works basis (excluding VAT) — 28.39 Belarusian roubles per decalitre of anhydrous alcohol, up 1.01 roubles;
- for rectified ethyl alcohol from food raw materials (including excise duty), on an ex-works basis (excluding VAT) — 108.99 Belarusian roubles per decalitre of anhydrous alcohol, up 6.31 roubles.
