Bishop Emeritus Kazimir Vialikaselets, who for many years served as vicar general of the Pinsk Diocese, has died. Katolik.life reported the news, citing members of the faithful.
According to the outlet, on the morning of February 8 the hierarch was still celebrating Sunday Holy Mass in Homyel, where he had been living in recent years at the local Catholic church. Later he fell ill and was taken to intensive care, but doctors were unable to save him.
Kazimir Vialikaselets was 80 years old. He marked his most recent birthday on May 5, 2025. He was the oldest Catholic bishop in Belarus.
