On May 8, Belarusian Ambassador to Serbia Siarhei Malinouski met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

The sides discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations, with a focus on economic and humanitarian cooperation.

“The parties confirmed the special nature of Belarusian-Serbian relations, based on the historical and spiritual ties between the two friendly countries and brotherly peoples,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reported.

“A substantive conversation with the Ambassador of Belarus about the further development of cooperation between our countries in the fields of education, culture, sports, economy, and other areas of mutual interest,” Vučić said about the meeting.

Vučić thanked Minsk for supporting Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and expressed confidence that Belarus’ participation in the specialized international exhibition EXPO 2027 in Belgrade would showcase the country’s achievements and provide an additional boost to bilateral cooperation.
