The nominal accrued average salary in November amounted to 2,703.7 roubles before income tax. This was reported by Belstat. It fell by 54.9 roubles compared with October. The dynamics of the average were likely influenced by the smaller number of working days in November compared with December.
In real terms, adjusted for inflation, the average salary nationwide increased by 6.1% compared with November last year. The growth rate of the indicator continued to slow. In October, the average in real terms rose by 7%, while in March it increased by 11.8%.
In Minsk, the average salary in November amounted to 3,560.8 roubles, falling by 92.7 roubles over the month. In real terms, the capital’s average increased by 3.1% year on year. In Minsk Region, the average salary in November exceeded 2,700 roubles, while in Brest and Hrodna regions it stood at 2,400 roubles. The lowest average was recorded in Vitsyebsk Region. It amounted to 2,244.5 roubles, increasing by 6.4% in real terms over the year.
First place in the November wage ranking continued to be held by employees in passenger air transport. Their average amounted to 9,224.7 roubles, down by 1,284.2 roubles compared with October. Passenger air transport workers have held the top position in terms of pay for the fifth consecutive month.
In the IT sector, the average was lower, at 7,121.5 roubles. Third place was taken by employees in cargo air transport, with an average of 6,956.2 roubles.
The lowest salaries among sectors, according to Belstat, were recorded in November among hairdressers and beauty salon workers. Their average amounted to 1,493.5 roubles. Employees of museums, libraries and archives earned 1,631 roubles, while social workers received 1,640 roubles.
Average earnings in crop production amounted to 2,372.9 roubles in November, and in livestock farming to 2,309.1 roubles. In industry, the average salary was 2,817.6 roubles, including 2,801.9 roubles in manufacturing and 4,503.5 roubles in mining.
In construction, workers received an average of 3,497.1 roubles before tax, while in retail trade the average stood at 2,225 roubles.
The average salary in healthcare amounted to 2,256.4 roubles, while in education it stood at 1,888.9 roubles.
