(Updated) On April 8, a new STV channel (@ctvplus) disappeared from the YouTube platform, which the broadcaster created on February 6, 2026, two months before the deletion of its main channel.
STV claims that the new CTVPLUS channel was allegedly removed due to sanctions and emphasizes that neither the channel nor its management are under sanctions.
It should be recalled that on April 3, the YouTube channels of Belarusian state media BelTA, ONT and STV were removed from the platform. The Belarusian State TV and Radio Company warned that YouTube could be designated as extremist and fully blocked in Belarus. The Ministry of Information of Belarus stated that it reserves the right to take retaliatory measures. The Foreign Ministry threatened a response “by all available means”.
