The National Bank of Belarus published statistics on money transfers in the first half of the year. In January-June, residents of the country received transfers totaling nearly $82.5 million, up 6.9% from the same period last year.
The amount of transfers sent from Belarus also increased. It rose by 23.8% to $60.18 million.
The average outgoing transfer in the second quarter amounted to $864.4, up 28.8% from a year earlier, while the average incoming transfer was $602, up 10.9%.
