Internet Advertising Of Gambling May Be Banned In Belarus

Belarus has drafted a bill on advertising gambling and gambling establishments, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade reported.

The bill provides for:

• a ban on internet advertising of lotteries, games, including promotional, gambling and electronic interactive games, and gambling establishments, including virtual ones with some exceptions, as well as their advertising in vehicles;
• a ban on the use of images of people and animals in advertisements for gambling establishments and gambling.

Advertising also must not contain information about bonuses that can be used to place bets at gambling establishments.

The draft bill has been submitted to relevant authorities for approval.
