Vitsyebsk Resident Detained for Manufacturing Weapons

A 48-year-old resident of Vitsyebsk has been detained. He is suspected of illegal trafficking in weapons.

According to the Interior Ministry, the man manufactured five “units of firearms and their components, about 100 rounds of ammunition, as well as magazines, muzzle devices, and more than two thousand elements required for the production of cartridges for rifled weapons.”

It is noted that the detainee “possesses skills and knowledge in the field of ballistics, metalworking, and lathe operations.” He reportedly purchased materials from online stores and from citizens of a neighboring country.

A criminal case has been opened. The man was detained with the support of OMON and the Internal Troops special forces unit “Vityaz.”
