A snap combat readiness inspection launched by order of Alyaksandr Lukashenka outside the Defense Ministry is continuing in Belarus.
On February 4, the inspection continued at one of the units of the 72nd Joint Training Center for Ensigns and Junior Specialists, BelTA reported. State Secretary of the Security Council Alyaksandr Valfovich and Chairman of the State Control Committee Vasiliy Herasimau arrived at the site.
It should be recalled that the snap inspection began on January 16 and will continue until spring. On Monday, Lukashenka sought to justify the inspection, insisting that it was not due to distrust of the Defense Ministry or the General Staff.
“And if there is a war? What will we do? I must be convinced that our military are not eating their bread for nothing,” he said.
