Two people were killed in a traffic accident near Lepel in the Vitebsk region, the Interior Ministry’s press service reported.

The tragedy occurred at around 10 a.m. today. A 64-year-old driver of a Volkswagen, entering the M3 Minsk–Vitebsk highway from a secondary road, failed to yield to an Audi traveling on the main road.

As a result of the collision, the Volkswagen driver and a 63-year-old passenger were killed, while the 32-year-old Audi driver was hospitalized.

Traffic police and an investigative team are working at the scene.
