Minsk’s sanitary and epidemiological service has identified violations by two suppliers of fresh greens.
According to the sanitary authorities, Green Bazaar LLC and Fresh Eco Trade LLC supplied retail chains with packaged fresh greens, including imported green onions, dill, parsley, basil, thyme and other products, using incorrect labelling that misled consumers.
“The companies lacked documentation ensuring the traceability of food products, and some products were not accompanied by the required shipping documentation. As a result, the operations of the two companies were suspended, and about one tonne of fruit and vegetable products of unverified quality was withdrawn from circulation,” the sanitary authorities said.
Measures are being taken to recall the products from retail chains.
