Belstat reported a sharp increase in agricultural production in July. The rise is linked to the timing and intensity of the harvesting campaign.
In January-July, agricultural production across all categories of farms increased by 12.9% to 18.8 billion rubles. In agricultural organizations, the increase was 13%, with production reaching 18.2 billion rubles.
As of Aug. 1, according to Belstat, grain crops had been harvested from 38.2% of the area, compared with 22.3% on the same date last year. A total of 3 million tonnes of grain had been harvested, 55.3% more than a year earlier. The average yield was 39 centners per hectare, compared with 43.1 centners per hectare last year.
In addition, 75.9% of the area planted with rapeseed had been harvested in Belarus, compared with 45.8% as of Aug. 1 last year. A total of 1.1 million tonnes of rapeseed had been harvested, 2.7 times more than last year. The average yield increased from 21.8 centners per hectare to 30.1 centners per hectare.
Agricultural organizations produced 1.08 million tonnes of livestock and poultry (live weight), 5.4% more than in January-July 2025, 5.43 million tonnes of milk (+2.9%), and 2.0 billion eggs (+1%).
