A 35-year-old man was killed by a train in the Chakvi area of Adjara, Georgia. The tragedy occurred during the day on Aug. 16. The man died at the scene.
Georgia’s Interior Ministry has opened a criminal case into the death. The man’s body has been sent for a forensic medical examination.
Georgian law enforcement authorities have not officially disclosed the nationality of the deceased, but InterpressNews and other Georgian media, citing local residents, report that the deceased was a Belarusian citizen.
