The bodies of four Belarusian citizens who died in a road accident in Georgia last week have been delivered to Minsk. BelTA reports this, citing the Foreign Ministry.
“With the assistance of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry and Belavia airline, the bodies of four Belarusians who died in a road accident in Georgia on Aug. 12 were delivered to Minsk on a single flight,” the ministry said.
On Aug. 12, a minibus carrying Belarusians in Georgia reportedly left the road, fell into a ravine and crashed into a tree. Four people were killed and 15 injured. There were 19 Belarusian citizens on the bus in total.
The driver managed to jump out during the fall. He was detained. A criminal case is being investigated. It is already known that the driver did not have the appropriate category of driver’s license to transport tourists. In addition, he failed to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle.
