The Belarusian Interior Ministry has announced that police will switch to an enhanced duty regime ahead of Easter and Palm Sunday.
“Venues for religious events will be placed under special control. At sites with large numbers of people, access control measures and inspections using technical equipment will be organised,” the Interior Ministry warned.
The ministry called on people to treat the security measures with understanding.
