The Interior Ministry has reported the dismantling of an illegal migration scheme involving migrants from Asian countries. The operation was organized by members of the same family: a 65-year-old man, his 20-year-old son, and his 35-year-old daughter, residents of the Minsk Region.

“None of them were employed. The father and daughter have previous convictions for drug-related crimes. Together with other accomplices, they organized the stay of foreign nationals on the territory of our country.

They helped them enter from Russia bypassing border crossing points, accommodated them in a private house near Minsk, and advised them on rules of concealment. The final destination for the illegal migrants was the European Union,” the statement said.

The services of the Minsk Region residents cost migrants from $100 per person. The exact number of “clients” is being established.

A criminal case has been opened for organizing illegal migration. The issue of deporting the migrants is being decided.
