A Wildberries logistics facility in the Koledino industrial park in Podolsk, Moscow region, caught fire after a drone strike. Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported this.
According to him, an 83-year-old man was killed after a drone fell on the grounds of a private house in the Ramenskoye municipal district. Three other people were injured in Podolsk, suffering shrapnel and other wounds.
Damage was also reported in Podolsk, Domodedovo, Kashira, Chekhov and Stupino. A warehouse containing medicines caught fire in Domodedovo, while a police department building was damaged in Kashira. According to the governor, air defenses and electronic warfare systems shot down or suppressed a total of 187 drones overnight.
The press service of Wildberries & Russ said that employees had been evacuated from the facility in advance in accordance with safety requirements. No workers were injured in the attack. Fire crews are working at the site.
“Logistics chains have been reorganized, and the receipt of deliveries and shipment of orders are being carried out at other facilities,” the press release said.
Ukrainian company Fire Point said that the Wildberries logistics hub in Koledino had been hit by Ukrainian FP-1 drones. According to the company, it is one of Wildberries’ largest logistics complexes, covering about 250,000 square meters. The facility is used to store, sort and distribute dual-use goods, the press service said.
According to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, about 600 UAVs flew toward the Moscow region from the evening until 6:30 a.m., with 201 of them destroyed in the region.
