MART Inspects Sports Nutrition Stores, More Than Half Sold Expired Products

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus conducted inspections of retail outlets selling dietary supplements and sports nutrition products across the country. Violations of legislation were identified in every store inspected, the agency’s press service reported.

In 65% of outlets, goods with expired shelf life were offered for sale, with a total value exceeding 9.2 thousand rubles. In Brest, more than 130 items of sports nutrition worth around 6 thousand rubles were withdrawn from sale at “HealthyPeople” and “ExpertBrest,” with some products having expired up to six months earlier. In Hrodna, 15 items of dietary supplements worth more than 750 rubles were seized, with some positions expired as early as August 2025. In Mahilyow, 10 items worth more than 700 rubles were withdrawn, while in Minsk’s “Biofonsport” and “Sport Hub,” goods worth more than 840 rubles were removed.

Other violations included the absence of a mandatory list of goods, information about the complaints and suggestions book, price tags, and details about the seller.

Following the inspections, 13 recommendations to eliminate violations and 13 orders banning the sale of goods were issued.
