Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aide Yury Ushakov described Aliaksandr Lukashenka’s visit to Moscow as unofficial and announced that Putin and Lukashenka would hold an informal meeting after their talks. Lukashenka’s press service had earlier said that he had traveled to Russia on a working visit.
“Belarusian President Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko is in Moscow these days on an unofficial visit. His talks with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin are scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday. After the talks, the leaders will meet in an informal setting,” Ushakov said (quoted by TASS).
Lukashenka arrived in Russia yesterday, August 27. Today, he met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
