Officers of the Hrodna Regional Customs seized a large shipment of goods brought from Russia.
The Iveco truck was carrying more than 47,000 items of clothing, auto parts, music equipment and other goods. The vehicle was stopped during a special operation.
The driver, who worked for a Belarusian carrier, did not have documents for the goods, including documents confirming their customs clearance upon entry into the Eurasian Economic Union. The goods were valued at more than 1 million rubles.
An administrative case has been opened.
Recently, the State Customs Committee has regularly reported intercepting shipments of similar goods brought into Belarus from Russia.
