The Investigative Committee has launched special proceedings against Viachaslau Kasinerau, Maryna Kasinerava and Yauhen Razumko.
Yauhen Razumko is charged under Part 1 of Article 293 (mass riots) and Part 1 of Article 14 and Article 362 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder of a law enforcement officer).
Viachaslau Kasinerau and Maryna Kasinerava are charged with creating an “extremist formation” (Part 1 of Article 361-1 of the Criminal Code), inciting enmity or discord as organizers (Part 4 of Article 16 and Part 3 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code), discrediting Belarus as organizers (Part 4 of Article 16 and Article 369-1 of the Criminal Code), organizing insults against Lukashenka (Part 4 of Article 16 and Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code), and facilitating “extremist activity” (Part 2 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code).
All three have been ordered to appear at the Minsk City Department of the Investigative Committee.
Viachaslau and Maryna Kasineravy are the founders of the human rights project Dissident.by, which has been recognized as an “extremist formation.”
“In a country where rights are absent, any human rights activity will be considered a crime. But we continue to work. None of our projects is stopping. We will continue to support political prisoners and their families, document repression and defend the rights of Belarusians who have suffered from the regime,” they said.
